Blackpool (A)

After an awful performance against Blackburn last week, there is no way about it, if we are to stand any chance of winning the league we must beat Blackpool this weekend. After United's (lucky) comeback against West Ham and again us dropping points the league seems to get more distant every week. We now must beat United at home come May and hope that other teams can get some points from them.

So the team travelling to Blackpool looks to be without Walcott who appears to have aggravated his ankle in the match on Saturday, he will however face a late fitness test. Song is definitely out of the match with a knee problem and Sagna also looks doubtful as he is also out with a knee problem. Denilson is most definitely out (thank god) as are the other long termers. Good news where Frimpong is concerned though after he played in a reserve match midweek.

So threats from Blackpool come from Adam of course along with Campbell. Taylor-Fletcher is also on good form and could sneak a goal. I also think that Beattie could pose a threat to our defence which looks as weak as ever with Sagna out. But we've been used to seeing key defenders out so nothing new there.

I do think that anything other than a win on Sunday will put us out of the title race for yet another year. We re odds on to win this and comfortably with a 1-3 win being the shortest odds but then and again we were also favourites to win on Saturday look what happened there. But I do think we'll snacth it. Just.
